Abstrakt (Fulltext in Czech available on the CZ version of our website) In this study, I reflect on David Zambrano's Passing Through method and Flying Low technique, which, despite having a major influence on the current form of contemporary dance, have never been described in a structured and systematic way. I reflect on the circumstances of their gradual development, both in the broader context of postmodern dance and from the perspective of the personal story of their creator. I name Zambrano's key insights that help define the communicative possibilities and principles of contemporary dance. In doing so, I draw on my personal experiences as an active participant and active observer of Zambrano's pedagogical and creative approach in contemporary dance, as well as on many conversations with David Zambrano himself, and with his students and followers.
