Abstrakt (Fulltext in Czech available on the CZ version of our website) In this study, I examine contemporary dance from both a spectatorial and interpretive perspective. I am looking for the main benefits of this artistic genre from both perspectives mentioned above. I ask whether, and if so how, the experience of watching dance can be conveyed alongside the experience of performing it, so that the resulting impression is as comprehensive as possible. I present two specific examples of dance performances that answer this question and whose form oscillates between performance and workshop.
