Abstract:
The article Landscapes of Bodily Soulful Beauty reflects on concepts related to the beauty and artistry of the human body and the art work. It articulates reflections related to physicality and movement, with a subliminal search for relationships: the artistic body, the body as an instrument of communication, the body as a carrier of sign and meaning, the body as a reflection of its present time and creative period. The methodological principle of the hermeneutic spiral is based on the beauty of the human body with an awareness of the historical overview and in terms of cultural and social values with references to the production Land of the Body from the repertoire of the fourth ensemble of the National Theatre Prague – Laterna Magika. The article gets to the words and their opposites, such as perfection and otherness, ideal or standard, originality, beauty and weirdness, vital functionality and the senescence, soulfulness.
