Abstract: The study is testing the broad notion that Morton Feldman wrote only silent music. It starts with overview of existing literature and shortly presents Feldman‘s  music language. The main section explores, what all the Feldman’s ppp prescription produces, but also what other tools he uses to generate silent sound. The main tools are analytical probes into the opera Neither and other pieces of 1970’s and 80’s.
